AASD Request for Reconsideration

Request for Reconsideration: If a staff, student, or family member has a concern about any material in the library, they may fill out a Request for Reconsideration Form found on the library's webpage and follow the directions for submitting the Request for Reconsideration form.  A Request for Reconsideration Committee, made up stakeholders from AASD and the Georgia Department of Education, will meet to review, research, and read the material in question.  The committee will then make a determination of how to handle the material.  The complainant will be informed of the committee’s decision.  If the complainant is not satisfied with the decision, they may appeal to the State Schools Chief Policy Officer regarding the Request for Reconsideration Committee's decision.
