Description of Duties

School-wide Testing Coordinator:

Under general supervision:

  • Based on needs assessment and effectiveness activities plans, coordinates, and oversees operational and instructional improvements in school-wide testing.
  • Assists with the implementation and oversight of the school’s assessment program including state, district, and schoolwide assessments. Maintains the school’s student data systems to measure student performance over time.
  • Provides the school, staff, and families with data analysis and interpretation.
  • Supports classroom teachers and staff in identifying appropriate accommodations for testing.
  • Develops and provides test examiner training.
  • Performs curriculum audits in collaboration with school-level leaders to support school-wide testing.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders regarding student data.
  • Attends all required Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) training related to state testing.
  • Provides staff training on state, district, and school-wide assessments.


Multi-Tiered System of Supports Coordinator:

Under general supervision:

  • Supports Georgia’s Tiered System of Supports for Students framework by developing the infrastructure for implementation and sustainability at the school level.
  • Provides leadership for continuous improvement and systems change. 
  • Creates, implements, and monitors a Tiered System of Supports for Students action plan aligned with district-wide strategies, and targeted school(s) strategies.
  • Regularly analyzes data (i.e., stakeholder engagement, capacity, resources, infrastructure, general supervision, equity gaps, strengths/weaknesses, barriers, and leverage points) and makes adjustments as needed using a problem-solving process to improve student outcomes.
  • Understands current fiscal, personnel, and material resources needed to support implementation of Georgia’s Tiered System of Supports for Students and provide needed supports for implementation such as resources, professional learning, and technical assistance.
  • Establishes formalized feedback loops between the school teams.
  • Convenes stakeholders for opportunities for action planning, sharing information/progress, and celebrating success at established checkpoints.
  • Monitors and report implementation progress to the GaDOE  Tiered System of Supports for Students coach and other stakeholders.


Special Project Coordinator:

Under general supervision:

  • Assists with school administration with special projects, which may include recruiting guest speakers, coordinating school events (i.e., staff appreciation, after-school meetings), etcetera.


This position reports to the School-Level Superintendent.



Applicants will be expected to exhibit the ability to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) during the interview with an expectation of obtaining an ASL rating of 3+ or above within three years from date of hire.


 Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Six years of related experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:

  • At least three years of classroom teaching experience in a school setting
  • Experience managing projects with multiple, complex tasks that require collaboration and communication with multiple staff and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of test development and accountability for all local, state and national tests (NWEA MAP, GKIDS, GA Milestones, GAA 2.0, ACCESS, ACT)
  • Strong computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and statistical packages)
  • Detailed knowledge of multiple statistical packages and environments, including Infinite Campus, GO-IEP, SLDS, SLDS IIs
  • Ability to communicate assessment information to a broad audience
  • ASL proficiency at 4 or above as measured by the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI)


Fulltime, 12-month position, Pay grade L – Annual salary range $45,982.94 (minimum) to $76,720.15 (maximum). Hiring salary commensurate with current employment and relevant education/training and work experience.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement.
