Description of Duties:
Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision. Manages the security access for the facility and all modifications on a day to day basis. Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas. Duties including assisting contractors or skilled trades workers with major repairs or renovations, building and maintaining facility signs, maintaining stocking equipment and supplies as needed, maintaining grounds, parking, and storage areas performing routine carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs, monitoring condition of facilities, moving furniture, operating hand tools and power cleaning equipment, performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance and inspection of the facilities or buildings, following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions and report to the Supervisor. 

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED AND three years of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment or two years of experience at the lower level General Trades Tech 2 (FET031) or position equivalent. Note: some positions may require area specific certifications/licenses

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to Minimum Qualifications, holds Level 1 building operations certification.  Certification from Technical College or Curriculum in related fields.  Associates Degree or equivalent.  Strong Computer and Communication skills. Ability to read architectural, mechanical, electrical and civil drawings, or two years’ experience working with mechanical contractors in plumbing and HVAC systems. Certification by EPA for recovery of chemicals associated with refrigerant systems. ASL proficiency at 2+ or above as measured by the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI)

Salary/Benefits:
Fulltime, 12-month position, Pay Grade G – Annual Salary range $24,771.59 (minimum) to $35,387.99 (maximum) based on experience. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance; annual/sick leave; and Employee’s retirement system (ERS). Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training, and work experience.
