Christine Curtis

My name is Christine Curtis and I am the PK-12 Visual Arts teacher at AASD. I have been working at AASD since 2011 and my experience working with such inspirational students and supportive faculty and staff has been such a pleasure! I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Arts for Children at the College at Brockport: State University of New York with a focus in Elementary Education with a minor in Visual Arts. I then went on to receive my Master’s of Science in Secondary Education for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a focus on Visual Arts. AASD was my first internship while working on my master’s degree at NTID, and now, I can’t imagine teaching anywhere else!

Outside of AASD, I love to travel, visit my family in Rochester, NY, discover new restaurants and events around Atlanta, read, and of course, collect materials and create all kinds of art whenever I have a chance!
