AASD provides numerous services for our students
and their families. Our support staff includes,
audiologists, speech pathologists, communication specialists,
occupational and physical therapists, psychologists and
counselors. Together, these professionals can evaluate
and address the unique needs of each student.
Besides providing services for our students and
their families, AASD also provides numerous deaf-related
services and programs for communities all across
Georgia. These include:
- State technical assistance
on deafness-related issues for schools and other organizations
and facilities throughout the state.

Diagnostic and evaluation center services to provide
assessments for students and others who may be hearing
impaired.
- Family services
including counseling, signing classes, and other services for
families of children who are deaf through Georgia
PINES.
