Welcome to the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, Sign Language classes.
Currently there are two programs offered; AASD School based classes and the Community based classes. Each program is opened to families with deaf/hard of hearing children as well as to community members who are interested in sign language and Deaf culture.
The
Community based classes are free with priority given to parents or family members who have deaf/hard of hearing children. Community members are welcomed, however, Please Note: participation for community members in the classes is not guaranteed and notification regarding class attendance may be within 24 hours of the start of the first day of class.Pre-requisite: Attendance and completion of the first community based class or knowledge of basic sign language. This is a continuation of the previous class.
AASD school based classes have a fee attached to the program, therefore, attendance in the class is guaranteed on a first come basis. This program also offers various levels to accommodate the skills of the participants. No pre-requisite is required.
